4 years ago, I woke up on my day off and the only thing I wanted to do was make cookies. I remember it so clearly. The urge to practice and create, the ideas I had in my head bursting to become reality. I envisioned birds and butterflies and flowers. My skill level was not yet developed enough to quite make them what I was imagining. But I was so proud of these at the time. That day I knew I had found something that I loved and if I could get good enough to be paid for it I would have found the job that didn’t feel like work. I kept practicing and growing and now I’m in a position where this art form has become a business and I’m delivering 3 cookieorders today, delivered 2 orders yesterday and have a full calendar for the next few weeks. I don’t know what the future will hold for me and my little business, but I know that it started with passion and I had to take that leap of courage to make it happen. If you have a passion or dream, don’t give up. You’re worth it.
